Stephanie van Zijl

Music Tutor

Hello! My name is Stephanie van Zijl, and I am currently embarking on my first year as a BSc Conservation Ecology student. I graduated in 2023 from Rustenburg Girls’ High School with an aggregate of 87%. During my matric year, I excelled in several subjects, achieving 89% in Life Sciences, 88% in Physical Sciences, 91% in Music, and 88% in Maths. My passion for music is deeply ingrained, as evidenced by my achievements in piano; I successfully completed Grade 8 in classical piano through Trinity College in 2022 and also explored jazz piano during my matric year.

Beyond my academic pursuits, I have a wide range of interests that nurture my creative and exploratory spirit. I enjoy drawing and sewing, which allow me to express my artistic side, and spending time in nature, which complements my study in conservation ecology. Being with my family and playing the piano are also integral parts of my life, providing me with balance and a sense of fulfillment.

As a tutor, I am eager to bring my diverse skills and interests into my teaching approach, offering a well-rounded and engaging learning experience. Whether we’re delving into the complexities of science or exploring the creative aspects of music and the arts, I am committed to helping my students achieve their academic goals and discover their passions. Let’s embark on this educational journey together, where your growth and discovery are at the forefront of our shared adventure.
