When do the 2026 matric exams start?

The written October/November 2026 NSC examinations begin on Tuesday 13 October 2026 and the last paper is on Wednesday 25 November 2026. Life Orientation was written on 1 September, and the Visual Arts and Performing Arts practicals run from August to mid-October.

Where is the official 2026 NSC timetable?

It is published by the Department of Basic Education. Stellenbosch Tutors reproduces every session from the final February 2026 version, with a calendar file per subject.

How should a matric plan the last weeks before finals?

Work backwards from each paper. Give the earlier papers the weeks before them, keep the last two days before any paper for that paper only, and do a full past paper under timed conditions at least once a week per subject, then mark it with the memo.
