About Joshua

Hi, I'm Joshua le Roux. I'm starting my third year of Mechatronic Engineering at Stellenbosch University, and I tutor Mathematics, Physical Sciences and Information Technology for Grades 1 to 12.

I believe strong learning starts with a strong tutor-student relationship, so I focus on creating a space where you feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. Serving as Head Prefect at Pretoria Boys High School helped me build the people skills and empathy that go into that. I've tutored both girls and boys aged 11 to 18, which has taught me a lot about how differently students learn and what actually helps them.

I tutored Mathematics and Physical Science at Seventh Star Tuition in 2023, working with classes of two to ten Grade 10 to 12 students, and I did private tutoring the same year with students from Grade 4 to 12, both in person and online. I also worked as an au pair, helping with homework and extra tutoring during test and exam season.
