About Aqeela
Hi, I'm Aqeela Nel, a second-year BA International Studies student. I tutor History and English Home Language for Grades 1 to 12 in Stellenbosch.
I'm passionate about the humanities, especially history, political science and English, and I got distinctions in all three in my first year. In October 2025 I also got my TEFL certificate to sharpen my teaching.
I worked as a paid teaching intern at Windhoek International School for six months in 2024, in the Foreign Language Department for grades 1 to 5, and I've run essay critique workshops for high school students in history and English. I work with weekly planners, so lessons stay organised but flexible if plans change.
