About Jessica
Hi, I'm Jessica Marx. I'm a BA Humanities graduate completing my PGCE at Stellenbosch University in 2026, and I tutor English Home Language, History, Afrikaans FAL and Mathematics Literacy for Grades 1 to 12.
I got distinctions in both English and History in matric at Clarendon High School for Girls, so I know what it takes to do well in these subjects. I focus on strong writing, critical thinking and exam confidence, whether that's essay structure, poetry analysis or working through historical sources.
I started tutoring through a peer tutoring programme at school, supporting younger learners in English and History, and I've since tutored privately from home, working one-on-one and tailoring each lesson to where a student is struggling.
