Samukelisiwe Thabethe

Samukelisiwe Thabethe here. I'm completing my PGCE in Senior and FET Phase teaching at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, and I tutor Geography, History and Life Sciences for Grades 1 to 12.

I hold a degree in Psychology, majoring in Psychology and Industrial Psychology, plus an Honours in Psychology, and my teaching background covers Social Sciences and Grade 10 to 12 Life Orientation. I've worked with learners in subjects including English, Life Orientation, Creative Arts, Dramatic Arts and Social Sciences, covering classroom teaching, lesson planning, learner support and resource development.

My approach is patient, adaptable and learner-centred, and I try to build a classroom where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing their own independent thinking. Outside of teaching, I love hiking new trails with friends and writing.
